... The Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 345 PM PDT for
north central San Bernardino and south central Clark counties...

At 213 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain were diminishing over the eastern across the warned area.
Portions of the Mojave National preserve. Flash flooding is likely
ongoing in the area.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
the Mojave National preserve, Mountain Pass, Mitchell caverns,
Cima, Nipton, Kelso, Nipton Road, Ivanpah Road, Morning Star mine
Road, Cima Road, Hole In the Wall campground, mid hills
campground, and Black Canyon equestrian campground.

This includes Interstate 15 in California between mile markers 161
and 185.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of northwest Arizona, southeast California, and
southern Nevada, including the following areas, in northwest
Arizona, Lake havasu and Fort Mohave, Lake Mead National
Recreation Area, northwest deserts, and northwest plateau. In
southeast California, Cadiz basin, eastern Mojave Desert,
morongo basin, San Bernardino County-upper Colorado River
valley, and western Mojave Desert. In southern Nevada, Lake
Mead National Recreation Area, Las Vegas Valley, northeast
Clark County, Sheep Range, southern Clark County, Spring
Mountains-Red Rock Canyon, and western Clark and southern Nye
County.

* Until midnight PDT /midnight MST/ tonight

* most storms will be capable of producing rainfall rates of 1 to
2 inches per hour, with some storms producing rates of 3 inches
per hour or higher. Flash flooding has already been occurring in
parts of the region including Joshua Tree and in the Spring
Mountains of Clark County.

* Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers
the roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your
car to cross safely. Vehicles caught in rising water should be
abandoned quickly. If your vehicle stalls... abandon it and
seek higher ground immediately.

for flooding of washes... streams and other drainage areas in the

* At 156 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms near Seven Hills and anthem. Additional storms may
develop over the southern half of the Las Vegas Valley over the
next hour. Minor flooding will be possible in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Las Vegas, Henderson, Boulder City, anthem, Summerlin, mountains
edge, the strip, Sam Boyd stadium, southern Highlands, Spring
Valley, Green Valley, Enterprise, Paradise, Red Rock Canyon, Blue
Diamond, East Las Vegas, Sloan, Railroad Pass, Seven Hills and
Silverado ranch.

Blue Diamond, Baker, Primm, Jean, Red Rock Canyon, Sandy Valley,
Goodsprings, Mountain Springs, Spring Mountain ranch, Tecopa and
Mt. Potosi. This includes Kingston and Excelsior mine roads in San
Bernardino County.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 15 in California between mile markers 126 and 160, and
near mile marker 186.

thunderstorms was ongoing over the Spring Mountains and Sheep Range.
Shortly before 100 PM ndot and nhp reported a Road closure due to
minor flooding at the intersection of Deer Creek Highway and Lee
Canyon Road. Minor flooding will continue in the advisory area.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lee Canyon, Kyle Canyon, Rainbow Canyon, Mt. Charleston, Red Rock
Canyon, Spring Mountains, Kyle Canyon campground, Fletcher view
campground, Indian Springs, Rocky Gap campground, McWilliams
campground, Willow Creek Campground, mahogany Grove campground,
Mary Jane Falls campground, Dolomite campground, Lovell Canyon
