Winter Storm Warning
Issued: 10:36 PM EST Dec. 9, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 2 PM EST Monday...

* what... mixed precipitation continuing. Additional light snow and
sleet overnight, combined with freezing temperatures lingering
in some locations, will allow conditions to remain treacherous
across the area. Total snow and sleet accumulations up to an
inch are likely around the Charlotte area early Monday. Winds
may gust to 20 mph at times.

* Where... portions of upstate South Carolina and Piedmont and
western North Carolina.

* When... until 2 PM EST Monday.

* Additional details... power outages and tree damage have already
occurred in some areas due to the recent ice and snow. The
combination of ice and brisk winds could result in additional
power outages. Travel will be very difficult. The hazardous
conditions likely will impact the morning commute on Monday.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather
conditions will make travel very hazardous or impossible. If you
must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your
vehicle in case of an emergency.
