continues for
the Lodge creek near international border.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 9:25 am Saturday the stage was 10.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river is forecast to remain at moderate flood stage
today... then fall to minor flood stage tonight. The river is then
forecast to remain at minor flood stage into next week.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Big Sandy Creek at Havre.
* Until Sunday morning... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 8:30 am Saturday the stage was 10.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 8.5 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
after midnight tonight.
* Impacts... Road 50 has been washed out. Frequently used pastures
will remain flooded until the river level falls.

* At 8:15 am Saturday the stage was 10.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
this evening.

... A Flood Warning for snowmelt remains in effect until 815 PM MDT
Sunday for Blaine and hill counties...

Emergency management continues to report flooding across portions of
hill and Blaine counties and the Montana Department of
Transportation reports numerous roads being impacted, including
portions of Highway 2. Snowmelt will continue to cause flooding of
low lying areas, small creeks and fields into this weekend as the
remaining snow-pack melts out.

Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Havre, Chinook, Harlem, Beaver Creek, Inverness, Gildford, Hays, fort
Belknap, Turner, Box Elder, azure, Hingham, Rudyard, Lohman, Lodge
Pole, Cleveland, Zurich, Laredo, Lloyd and Kremlin.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

High Wind Warning
Issued: 2:03 PM MDT Apr. 21, 2018 – National Weather Service

... High Wind Warning remains in effect until 9 PM MDT this
evening...

* winds: west 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph.

* Timing: strong gusty winds will continue into the early evening
hours before diminishing.

* Impacts: these strong winds may blow down trees and power
lines, especially in areas where the soil is saturated from
recent snowmelt flooding. Scattered power outages are possible.
Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

* Where flooding is occurring, water levels may rise on the
eastern edges of flood waters due to wave activity. These waves
may then overtop sandbags and or levees.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected
or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph, or gusts
of 58 mph or more, can lead to property damage.
