... Flood Watch remains in effect through Saturday evening...

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of central Missouri, east central Missouri, south
central Missouri, and southwest Missouri, including the
following areas, in central Missouri, Pulaski. In east central
Missouri, Phelps. In south central Missouri, Dent, Howell,
Oregon, Shannon, and Texas. In southwest Missouri, Barry,
Christian, Douglas, Greene, Laclede, Lawrence, McDonald,
Newton, Ozark, stone, Taney, Webster, and Wright.

* This afternoon through Saturday evening

* a couple more rounds of moderate to locally heavy rainfall will
occur on already saturated ground this afternoon through
Saturday evening. One to three inches of additional rainfall
with locally heavier amounts is expected across south central
Missouri through Saturday evening.

* Additional flooding may develop including low water crossings,
low lying spots, area creeks, streams, and rivers.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
