... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 7 am CDT Thursday...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* a portion of south central Minnesota, including the following
areas, Faribault and Martin.

* Until 7 am CDT Thursday

* ongoing rain will continue overnight. Periods of heavy rainfall
with isolated thunderstorms could bring upwards of 4-5 inches
of rainfall by Thursday morning across the watch area.

* This long duration rainfall event will bring an increased risk
for river and stream flooding, especially in areas that have
recently received heavy rainfall this week. Flash flooding
will be possible, especially in thunderstorms, where rainfall
rates will be much higher.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
