The Flood Warning continues for
the Cumberland River at Barbourville.
* At 4:30 am Friday the stage was 28.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 27.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue subsiding today, but will
remain above flood stage until late morning.
* At 30.0 feet... Manchester street and Miller Road east of U.S. 25 E
flood.

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect from tonight through
early Sunday morning...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* the Kentucky counties of Bath, Elliott, Estill, Fleming,
Menifee, Montgomery, Powell, Rowan, Johnson, Martin, Laurel,
McCreary, Pulaski, Rockcastle, Wayne, Whitley, Bell, Breathitt,
Clay, Floyd, Harlan, Jackson, Knott, Knox, Lee, Leslie,
Letcher, Magoffin, Morgan, Owsley, Perry, Pike, and Wolfe.

* It is in effect from tonight until early Sunday morning.

* Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected tonight and Saturday, and
thunderstorms are possible Saturday night.

* With the ground already saturated, excessive rainfall could lead
to flooding or flash flooding. River flooding is also expected
to become a larger concern. In addition, rock and mudslides may
be a hazard.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.

* flood advisory for
the Cumberland River at Barbourville.
* From late tonight to Friday evening.
* At 5 PM Wednesday the stage was 21.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 27.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will rise to near 27.7 feet by early afternoon
Thursday.
* At 27.0 feet... low lying roads flood. Manchester street floods.
