The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for a portion of southeast Kansas, including
the following areas, Labette and Montgomery.

* Through tonight.

* Another round of thunderstorms with heavy rain is possible late
this afternoon through the evening across southeast Kansas. This
additional heavy rain will only aggravate already saturated
soils across the region, and may lead to additional flash
flooding concerns.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
Remember to turn around, don't drown. You should monitor later
forecasts and be prepared to take action should flash flood
warnings be issued.
