... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 9 PM CST this
* what... a wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain is occuring
across the area and will continue for the rest of the day before
switching to freezing drizzle this evening. Total snow and sleet
accumulations will range from a dusting near the Arkansas
border, to 2 to 5 inches over central Missouri. Isolated amounts
up to 6 inches can not be ruled out across central Missouri. Ice
accumulations will range from a glaze over central Missouri up
to two tenths of an inch along the Arkansas border.
* Where... portions of southeast Kansas and southwest and west
* When... until 9 PM CST this evening. Heaviest accumulations
will occuring from late morning into the afternoon hours.
* Additional details... plan on slippery Road conditions
throughout the day. Modot and kdot are already reporting
locations with snow and ice covered roadways.
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
