... Dense fog advisory in effect until 10 am CST this morning...
The National Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a dense fog
advisory, which is in effect until 10 am CST this morning.
* Visibility... widespread below one-quarter mile. Some spots
will see near zero visibility at times.
* Impacts... difficult travel due to low visibility and the
possibility of some slick spots from the fog.
A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use
low-beam headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

... Areas of dense fog through mid-morning...
Fog is expected across the area through the morning. There are
pockets of dense fog where visibilities could be very low,
dropping to less than a quarter miles at times, creating
hazardous travel. Dense fog is not expected in the Mississippi
and Wisconsin river valleys.
In addition, with temperatures below freezing, be aware of the
possibility for some slick spots to develop on untreated roadways.
During your morning commute, be prepared for sudden changes in
visibility and scattered slick spots. If you encounter dense fog,
use caution and watch for vehicles pulling out onto highways.
