Monday...

The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued a High Wind
Warning for the eastern Sierra slopes, which is in effect from 4
PM Sunday to 4 am PST Monday. This replaces the high wind watch
which had been in effect.

* Winds... west 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 75 mph.

* Timing... winds will increase late Sunday afternoon, peak
Sunday evening and night, and decrease early Monday morning.

* Impacts... damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be
difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Damaging

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected
or occurring. Strong winds can make driving dangerous... rapidly
reduce visibility in dust prone areas and lead to property
