Issued: 4:32 AM AKDT Oct. 17, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Strong winds and heavy rain expected again Thursday and Friday
along the north Gulf Coast and southern Cook Inlet...

A powerful low will bring another round of heavy rain and strong

into Friday. The low is expected to move south of the Kenai
Peninsula which will increase northerly winds down Cook Inlet and
into Kachemak Bay. Storm force winds (50-60 knots) will also impact
the marine waters along the entire north Gulf Coast.

While rainfall accumulations will not be as heavy as the most recent

increased rises again as periods of heavy rain impact the
coastline. This includes the Seward area where an additional
1.5-2" of rainfall is expected.
